Difficult times

Dave's mom has been in and out of hospital and nursing homes for a couple of months now. Over the weekend, she deteriorated significantly, and at this time, it looks unlikely that she will recover. I'm trying to keep a calm, loving center for Dave while he walks through this. So, may not say much for a while.

Thank you. She seems to be comfortable, although drifting in and out of consciousness. They have her on meds to control her agitation and I don't think she's in physical pain. Each time, she seems more confused, although she still knows her name and recognizes her family. I'll try to visit tomorrow and maybe read some poetry or a children's story to her. Even if she's not responsive, she may on some level be able to hear my voice.
