Online workshop suggestions, please?

I've gotten queries from 3 or 4 novice writers who are at the stage of needing feedback. I know there are a bunch of online workshops, but I haven't kept track of them. I think sff.net has one -- is that "Critters"? or something else. Anything on LJ? So... help!

Critters is one: http://www.critters.org/ That's the one Andrew Burt runs. I used it for a while, and it's not too bad.

Online Writing Workshop is the other one I usually recommend: http://sff.onlinewritingworkshop.com/ That one has a fee, but they've also got a fair number of pro author coaches. I don't have any personal experience with OWW, but you'll recognize a fair number of the names.

What Jim said about OWW. That's actually where I got my first feedback, and it helped. Haven't checked in a while, but the first month used to be free so you could get a taste of what it's like before you pay the fee. They also have a Yahoo Group for asking specific writing how-to questions.

Critters tends to lose people after they stop being beginners, but it is a good place for beginners.

The best is probably OWW, from what I have seen.

I've heard a promo for the Dead Robots' Society (http://deadrobotssociety.com/) which rumors to have a feedback thing in their forums (http://deadrobotssociety.com/forum/). Haven't confirmed that they exist, or their quality.
