Something quite wonderful...

I got the idea, as discussions sometimes spark them, of coordinating a livelongnmarry blanket/afghan of knitted and crocheted squares, a community effort by the wonderful folk there. Within an hour, there were dozens of responses, not only offers of squares, but a dazzling Celtic knot centerpiece by djinnj. With many people volunteering to "do more" we already have enough, and are finalizing materials and timelines. The result should be spectacular, a one-of-a-kind heirloom. Perhaps even more precious is the amazing generosity of this community.

It truly is. I'm about to go over and finalize the offer, and it looks like we have enough for 2, one in wool and one in machine washable/dryable fibers.
