Yes!! I just sold a science fiction story, "The Price of Silence," to F & SF. It's my first sale to Gordon van Gelder, and the first to this magazine in quite a number of years. I am feeling so stoked -- as if it were my first sale, ever.
Happy happy to me!

Date: 2008-03-25 08:23 pm (UTC)I suspect that editing LACE AND BLADE got me thinking/dreaming in short story lengths again. I wrote or revised 3 of them late last year. One bounced and I'm debating whether to put it through one more rewrite or send it out again, one is still out there, and now, this sale.
Definitely one of the cool things about short fiction is that a story does not represent a year or more of work!

Will post when I have a pub date. This is space-opera-with-heart, a refreshing change from epic fantasy. Or not so very different, after all.
