Winter is most definitely over. We've had a string of warm, unbelievably beautiful afternoons, birds are hormonal, leaves and flowers unfolding everywhere. The winter crops -- nappa, kale, broccoli, collards, have all bolted in the heat, and the asparagus bed is resembling one of those torture devices that sprout spears by the minute.

While it's odd to have Easter before Passover, the earth doesn't care. The birds know when to sing, the plants know when to wake up. I would do as well to ignore the calendar and listen to the sun.
