The weather has cooled off to its normal summer pattern. Evenings cool enough to need a blanket, early morning ocean overcast burning off to pleasantly warm afternoons.

Writing is going well, and I'm beginning to see the end of this round of new chapters to Book 1 of SHIELD. I'm in an odd rhythm. Usually, when I am drafting, I push ahead, just getting words on the page/screen. Now, there's a bit of forward-and-back dance as I integrate new material with old. I not only know where I've been but have a much better idea what I need to set up for Book 2. Feels like draft-and-three-quarters, rather than rough first, but that's okay, it's all got to get done sometime.

Other writing projects fill in the corners. I've begun reviewing Marion's partial manuscript, THE SHADOW KING, making a synopsis that is the first step toward figuring out how to expand and complete the book. There are only 170 pages, and Marion was quite ill when she wrote them, but some fabulous material there. I also have a new project that I'm not ready to talk about yet. Stay tuned!

Your weather sounds like my weather. But instead of that early ocean overcast I have the cool high altitude breezes. ;-)

All those writing projects sound great. I love it when it all comes together.
