I wonder if cats are attracted by the calm energy of yoga.

That's possible, but with Moon it seems more to be that she sees a human lying on the floor waving limbs about and takes it as an invitation to play.
My first cat, Caspian, liked to sit with me, though, and he may well have been reacting to that calmness.
