Puppy endorphins!

As so many of you know, we lost our sweet German Shepherd Dog, Oka, on April 17. He was one of a kind, for sure, but we are longing for another dog. His trainer has a litter of puppies, bred from two extraordinary dogs, and we are in line for one. Today was Visiting Day. They're 5 weeks old. (And yes, they're GSDs; mom is pure black, dad is bicolor - black with tan feet.)

Us, too, although the first few months will be a lot of work, just like with any baby. Tag-team parenting supervision for the prevention of unfortunate behaviors.

Oh, you want all of them until you remember that would be a huge pack of loving to feed and care for! Have you narrowed down which one should come home with you guys?

A couple of the buyers want to seriously compete their dogs, so they'll get first pick. We don't have an attachment to any of the puppies, especially since every one is a great dog. No surprise, given the parents. Our druthers would be the mellowest of the pups, but you have to understand they'll all be intense, high-drive dogs, smarter than most.
