Guarded optimism
May. 22nd, 2006 03:35 pmI'm almost afraid to say so out loud, but my knee is significantly better. In fact, most of the time, it feels perfectly normal. I am not anywhere near back to my normal exercise routine, but I did walk 10 minutes the other day, and 10 on the exercise bicycle this morning, without any ill effects.
The knee started feeling better several hours after using the heel lift. I wore a different pair of shoes Sunday morning to Quaker meeting (I usually wear shoes I can easily slip on & off, as my preferred posture for silent worship is a half-lotus), and just the little bit of walking and standing, preparing a light meal for the meeting afterward, was enough to start the ouchies going. I iced it asap returning home and have been careful about shoes ever since.
Keep all digits crossed and prayer wheels spinning!
