Another chapter in the life of...

deborahjrossWednesday a bit under the weather. Not sure if it's several restless nights in a row, or the cumulative effect of worsening hip and sciatic pain, or fighting off some bug. Managed to get the laundry done, a long nap, and finished Chapter 6 of CHILDREN OF KINGS. We begin Chapter 7 in Shainsa, in the Dry Towns, and here things get exciting.
Cleo-the-cat had her teeth scaled and cleaned today, a procedure requiring anesthesia. She still hasn't forgiven me for putting her in that Awful Box (the carrier) without any breakfast and taking her to that Awful Place Where They Torture Cats. But it is done, and she has recovered much more quickly than our budget will, and should be set for quite a number of years.
Rose is home after spending 2 weeks with ladyfriends in Palo Alto, and it's wonderful to have her around again. Neither of us had the energy today for driving practice, but perhaps tomorrow...
