Done!

When is a book done? When do you get to celebrate? I've decided -- at every possible opportunity!

So, Shannivar, the second volume of The Seven-Petaled Shield is Done. Done as in I finished the last chapter, but not Done in that it needs some tidying up before I send it off to my agent. Done in that I am through drafting, and into revising, which I love. The larger part of the book won't need much work, as I've been through it a bunch of times, just the last 100 pages or so. Currently being printed out so I can curl up in the pink chair overlooking the garden while I contemplate.

Still waiting to hear from the MZB Literary Works Trust for approval on Hastur Lord so that can be sent out.

Feels like a time of Great Wrapping Of Things Up.

Thank you! I feel as if it's taken me forever to get to this point, mostly because I held on to the first volume until I was sure the setup was right for the second, discovered it wasn't, amputated the last 1/3, added 200 pages to first, then took that last 1/3 and developed it into the second. Fingers crossed that when I return to what was the beginning of the second and is now the beginning of the third, that all will flow naturally and dramatically.
