Rain and stuff...
Jan. 27th, 2008 04:17 pmIt's been one storm after another. The first one dumped more than 9 inches on us, then we had a few hours break yesterday, during which I took the dog for a badly needed walk. Stir-crazy doesn't begin to describe his state. (He's a German-bred German Shepherd Dog, strong and active and give-me-work-to-do). It's been downpour again today, on and off. I am Not Complaining. We had Stage 2 drought water conservation measures through most of the summer and the reservoir, as well as people's private storage tanks, was low.
I've been finishing up a couple of short stories. One went off to market, second to an anthology, from which I received an interesting rejection, "I love this but for the first volume I wanted something a bit different but please send it back to me for the next volume" sort of letter. That one is out in the mail to to see what magazine editors think of it. Third, a bit of an odd duck, just sent off electronically today. That's it for the nonce. Back to Shield 2 aka Shannivar.
