On the second day of Christmas...

deborahjrossThe universe gave to me... one firstborn daughter, here for three joy-filled days.
This morning, second-born and friend presented themselves for a second round of gift-giving, accompanied by much sisterly humor. Then we decamped to Santa Cruz along with Thai daughter, window shopped and indulged in Thai food. Then met two Quaker friends at theater to see The Golden Compass. Afterwards, coffee house and wide-ranging, thoughtful discussion. (I committed peppermint mocha latte, and didn't come down from the caffeine .... well, not sure it's entirely worn off even now, 5 hours later.)
Dave is off to a year's end retreat at Quaker Center, so we are doing Girl Stuff. Dinner with candlelight and soft music, Just For Us.
