Three full days of work -- yikes, I'd forgotten how stressful that is! it's all I can do to keep up with the animal chores, cook dinner for the two of us, and spin down enough to sleep well. Tonight, however, I finished my submission for SWORD & SORCERESS 22 and emailed it off. Felt good, flexing short fiction muscles after a long absence.

Tomorrow is dog class (Oka's Difficult Dog class, which he loves), and I'll take him by myself, as Dave is at a workshop at Quaker Center. Then, perhaps a hike or dog play, piano, and back to original fantasy.

I have a sneaking suspicion that one reason THE PROPHET OF MEKLAVAR (THE SEVEN-PETALED SHIELD, 2) is not going so well is that it is really the book between SHIELD, 1 and PROPHET. So I will try just flowing with it, instead of rushing to get to the next Plot Event, and see how that flows.
