No, no pub date for THE SEVEN-PETALED SHIELD. Because I'm working on it and Darkover novels, I won't finish the next 2 (or 3?) parts speedily, and I want to be able to bring them out within some reasonable time frame. It's all one long story, like LORD OF THE RINGS. Also, I need to make sure I've done the setup in the first book right, and won't know that until well into the second. So... please be patient. I'll try to post snippets.
As for THE ALTON GIFT, Betsy says we're on for February 2007. It won't seem real until I have a cover flat
And I am glad that we will be able to enjoy the volumes of THE SEVEN-PETALED SHIELD in quick succesion (when they start to appear). Waiting several years between volumes in a series (as is customary with novels by Tad Williams or George R.R. Martin) is terrible!
