A springtime gift

I just sat down at my desk after a long nap. For some reason, physical injuries put a huge dent in my energy these days, and I have a trifecta of them right now. My mobility has been impaired, and so I haven't been able to go on my usual neighborhood rambles to enjoy this beautiful weather. I wondered why my office smelled like springtime, and then I noticed the bouquet of purple iris from our garden that my lovely spouse had placed on my bookshelf while I slept.

I think I'll keep him.
