Wednesday 6/7
Evening post. tired and a little bleary eyed, about to set aside the next chapter. Yoga, laundry, PT, driving lesson with Rose, and a chapter finished. All in all, a good day. These 2 chapters are the climax sequence; the rest is denouement and wrapping up. I'll be spending some time on them, fine tuning and making sure all the elements I want to come together are actually (1) there; (2) resolved.
Rose is that much closer to taking her driver's license test. She drove to Scotts Valley and back, returning in rush hour traffice. Which is not as hairy as it sounds, Highway 9 being one lane in either direction, and worse, because it's still twisty mountain roads, now inhabited by tired, cranky commuters. She changed lanes (in SV), navigated a parking lot, parked (several times), negotiated turns and signal lights and stop signs. Next, hill and parallel parking.
