There's an intensely bright yellow ball in the sky. I seem to remember having seen it before, long, long ago... Never fear, more rain is predicted for soon.

Birds going nuts everywhere, flowers bursting forth, the yet-uncut cover crop threatening epic heights. Sure smells good.

*the girl from Arizona looks askance* :)

For us, spring was getting well underway 6 weeks ago. It took a spate of rain to really bring things out -- it's been a hellishly dry winter for us -- but it'll shortly be too hot for plants not desert-adapted.

I wish I could send you some of our cool gray skies and rain. After living in LA for so long, it's still a miracle to live in an area that gets enough rainfall to supply its local water needs -- and is sooo green!
