When I was a grad student, I led a section of a lecture course (the professor taught the lectures, and we grad students led the discussion sections).
I had one student in it, a B student but one who tried really hard and came to see me a couple of times.
She was murdered by her roommate, and then the roommate committed suicide. There are more details, but I bring it up because at the time, I thought how much I wanted rest and peace for both their souls, and I remembered a line from a Noh play, about a man killed in battle, and the man who killed him, both seated on the same lotus blossom.
