desperance from their gracious hostess, klwilliams and spiriting them away to See Trees. As in redwoods. As in big old redwoods. Then I made them eat chilaquiles, a sort of Mexican lasagna, davetrow gave them the quick tour of garden, vineyard and winery, we inflicted grapefruit and a bottle of homemade "Zardoz" wine on desperance, who seemed quite delighted to receive them, and I dropped them back "over the hill" in time for them all to jaunt up to Borderlands for desperance's signing.
In just a bit, I will hop back into the car, drive back over the hill, and manage not to get lost too many times finding the hotel for WFC.
I don't have any panels or signings, due to the overabundance of better-known or otherwise more desirable panelists, but I will be around. Please make yourselves known and let's go have entirely too much fun.
Today, 4 pm, tea (or whatever) with Lace and Blade authors
Friday evening, mass autographing
Saturday, 8:00 am, SFWA Business meeting
Plus, meeting with my editor to scheme and plot future Darkover novels, dinner with other DAWthors, also hobnobbing with old friends and new, and actually getting to attend a panel I am not on.
