Lace and Blade story a Nebula finalist!
Feb. 25th, 2009 06:49 pmMary Rosenblum's wonderful story, "Night Wind," in the first volume of Lace and Blade is on the Final Ballot for the 2008 Nebula Award.
After I got off the phone with Mary, I realized what an extraordinary thing this is for a first editorial gig, an anthology from a one-woman publishing house, to be so recognized. I'm thrilled, joyous, exhilarated, to say the least. I remember being amazed that authors I so deeply admired, many of them far, far more accomplished than I, would trust me with their work, would take a chance on this small press dream. I think it's a testament not only to what a wonderful community this is, but of the love we share for great stories, stories that move our hearts and inspire our spirits. Stories that enrich all of us in the sharing.
