As early as I can get out of town tomorrow, for it's a long drive. I'll be armed with Jane Austen on audiobook, thanks to my lovely Rose, and have figured out how necessary it is to stop at every single rest stop to stretch.

I have a full and challenging schedule, with lots of fun panels:

Slices of death: the mythology of sleep (Fri noon)
Is there an appropriate style for fantasy literature? (Friday at 1)
Vampire as lover: how did the monster become a sex object? (Friday at 3)
Location, location, location (Friday at 5)

Why some manuscripts are dead on arrival (Saturday at 11)
Autographing (Saturday at noon)

Steps to getting published (Sunday at 11)
Desensitization about death in modern society (Sunday at noon)
Monsters as heroes (Sunday at 2)

If you're at the con, please stop by to chat. I'll be waving about Lace and Blade so you can get a look at it, too!

Our health insurance does not cover the HPV vaccine. It's pricey, but I feel fortunate in that it's financially possible for me to provide it for my daughter anyway. I feel awed that such a thing exists. What can money buy? It can protect someone I love against cervical cancer. That's priceless.

(Yes, I know that not all cervical cancer is caused by HPV.)
