Thinking of how much a creature of habit I am. Wednesdays used to be my 1/2 day or day off at work, so I would cram in doing laundry, yoga class, schepping Rose to therapy and piano lesson, all on the same day. Even if I didn't sit down to write earlier, I could count on two blocks of time while I waited. Now, none of this is current, except yoga class. I still do laundry on Wednesdays, although there is no reason I cannot tackle it on any other day (except Tues, the one day I do work). Just being carried along by the streams of habit.

Habits can be good, in that there are things I regularly do (that are good for me) without thinking -- get up, do 1/2 hour of Pilates or weights, eat breakfast, practice piano... THEN think about my day. Sometimes, though, they come to resemble the vermiform appendix (which, in all fairness, seems to have a minor lymphatic function).
