Lots of families have their (Passover) seders on the first night, but we've always been pragmatic. And there's something magical about a Sabbath seder. You get to say "v'shabat" and stuff. So ours is tonight. It's a bit abbreviated in hostess-fussing ("Why is this night different from all other nights?" "Don't ask!") because it's still hard for me to stand, post-low-back-injury. I had my first physical therapy session this afternoon, had to come home and rest and apply ice, so that put me even further behind.

So, simplicity. Spirit. And family.

May your season be blessed with these things as well.
