I have a book that's landed on my desk that needs to be written in about 3 months, so I've had to cancel my appearance at Orycon. I'm disappointed by not being there but I'm really, really pleased about the book. It looks like it'll be a biggie! :)

Thank you! It should be a splendid trip, with time just for visiting friends before and after.

And if the topic gets boring, I can always start talking about sex. That usually livens things up.

I am able to say that this will be book #27... but that's about it. In fact, I can say very little beyond that because it would inadvertently reveal something about unreleased product. However, it will be a complete start-to-finish project in but 3 months. Oy! :D I think I'll have fun but I also expect this phenomenon to happen: http://blog.hedtke.com/2010/10/28/prison-and-writing-2/

You're welcome to ping me at john@hedtke.com. And I've got a professional blog for authors at http://tradebookauthor.com called "Hey, kids! Become an author at home in your spare time and earn big bucks!" that you may like. Are you up in Portland?
