Just finished Chapter 3 of THE CHILDREN OF KINGS, about 70 pages, some of them pretty good , and need to sketch out a few scenes for Chapter 4. I know WHAT happens, I just need a bit better idea of HOW before I launch into it.

Dave has been home sick the last few days, poor man. He doesn't often get sick, but has been run down through working too hard and, "I haven't taken a vacation in a long time." So a bad cold opened the door for other nasties. He's on the mend now, but the space and rhythm of my days has been different -- I have to think if he's asleep before I sit down at the piano, for instance. Also, more of the responsibility for keeping Oka, the rambunctious German Shedding Dog, exercised and happy falls to me.

No walk so far today. I have a class at the hospital, recert for BLS (Basic Life Support, CPR and more) for healthcare providers. I've done it 2 or 3 times already, and it's not horrific, they do try to make it fun, I'd just rather be doing something else. Still, it's good stuff to know and the boss pays for it.

Got my LosCon schedule, and it's very light, only 2 panels (Friday: The Blank Page; a discussion on writing that goes from an initial idea to the finished project , Saturday: Building a "Bible" for a novel series) and an autographing (Saturday). Should be fun and not too stressed.
