My copy of Vera Nazarian's delightful concoction just arrived and is now on top of my TBR pile. I've always enjoyed Vera's wonderful and evocative stories, but this is a showcase of hilariously demented humor. I peeked at the first few pages and about fell over laughing. I fully expect Amelia Peabody to come breezing in and organize the whole place, but suspect that the denizens of Mansfield Park will be left to their own idiosyncratic fates.

If you enjoy well-done take-offs with humor and flair, check this one out. It's miles better than those ones with zombies ugh! or sea serpents.
